Accessibility · What was tested, and what was not

Accessibility.

What has been done, what has been tested, and what to do if something is in your way.

The commitment

This site should be usable by people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion. That is not a legal box for me. I build websites for a living, and a site that locks people out is a badly built site.

The target is WCAG 2.1 level AA, which is the standard behind the Israeli requirement, IS 5568.

What has been done and verified

Colour contrast. Every text and interface colour was measured against its real background. All of it passes AA. Body text sits at 7.08 to 1, which passes AAA.

Keyboard. Every link, button and form field shows a visible focus ring when you move through the page with a keyboard.

Structure. One main region, one header, one footer, a skip link to the content, a single H1 per page, and headings in order with no skipped levels.

Forms. Every field has a real label attached to it, not a placeholder pretending to be one.

Images. Every image has alternative text.

Motion. The animated background respects the reduced motion setting, so it stops if your system asks it to. It is hidden from screen readers, because it carries no information.

Language. Each page declares its language, and the Hebrew pages declare right to left direction.

What has not been done

I want to be straight about this rather than claim more than I have tested.

No external accessibility audit has been carried out, and no formal accreditation has been issued for this site.

No testing with real screen reader users has been done yet. The structure is built correctly, but built correctly and tested with people are not the same claim.

If something is in your way

Write to me at digital@regevsela.com and tell me what happened and on which page. It reaches me directly, not a queue. I will fix what I can fix and tell you honestly if something will take longer.
